Ahmedabad based Hetal Shrivastav is a fashion graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar. She runs a sustainable clothing brand RaasLeela textile - only Indian brand that works on complete hand sewing technique using various traditional hand embroideries of Gujarat. The ethical brand runs a zero-waste studio in Ahmedabad, uses dye-free & bleach-free fabrics to avoid water pollution and works directly with more than 40 home-based women artisans making timeless clothing and accessories. She says “hand sewing is a form of meditation for her!”


Workshop Description

With an objective to learn hand sewing, of a garment or an accessory, where participant can choose from given patterns. Each participant will work in a team of two. Each team will be provided with all the material required. At the end of the workshop, the product would be displayed at the campus. Curated by Ahmedabad based Hetal Shrivastav, a fashion graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar. She runs a sustainable clothing brand RaasLeela textile - the only Indian brand that works on complete hand sewing technique using various traditional hand embroideries of Gujarat and runs a zero-waste studio in Ahmedabad.

Expected Output:

One finished product per team (garment or accessory) will be displayed on the conclusive of the workshop.
